Me'an Mills
5:30 - 6:30

Me’an Mills is an Americana roots rock band that formed in Statesboro, Georgia in 1987. Original members Dodd Ferrelle (vocals and guitars), Brad Bacon (drums and vocals), Jon Mills (bass and vocals) and Mitch Turner (lead guitar and vocals) toured extensively from 1987 through 1993, recording critically acclaimed records along the way. Reuniting over the years sparked a renewed desire to recapture the magic that the members felt while performing together, so the decision was made to record a new record.
The unexpected loss of dear friend and band member, Mitch Turner, to a rare blood cancer disease at the beginning of rehearsals left the band in limbo once again. Enter longtime mutual friend Charles Holloman, who was introduced to the band by Turner in 1987. Holloman’s band also toured with Me’an Mills in those early days. A serendipitous meeting led the remaining members to bring Holloman, now a successful engineer and producer in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, on board as an official member of the band. Me’an Mills pressed on and the new unit is currently finishing up their brand new 13-song record entitled “33”. The new record is slated for release this summer and quite possibly on Festival Day, but either way the band is super excited to perform at this year’s Marigold Festival.
